about the
studio

Even though the International Center for Creativity is just over one mile from the Interstate I-270 in a north suburb of Columbus, it is rural and secluded with a history for innovation! The building started life as barn and architectural elements like the original silo and hay loft are still visible, the space has been transformed over the years by its owners and tenants, who have all been industrial design firms. And not just design firms, but absolute leaders in the field, including Richardson Smith Design and Fitch Design.

Today, the space is a fully modernized version of the old barn with wireless connectivity, full-color scanning and printing, a light materials model shop, high definition monitors, and Wacom Cintiq digital rendering stations.

The wooded setting, decks, open design and configurable work space provide a great backdrop for not just the academic calendar year, but also for retreats, conferences and workshops which are frequently help at the ICC.
